A step-by-step guide to setting up a Service Account in Slate for the Slate to HubSpot integration.
In order to connect your Slate instance to your Slate ↔ HubSpot integration account, you must create a Service Account, which allows for the importing of data into Slate from the integration app.
- In Slate, go to "Database > User Permissions > New User"
- Add user details & credentials with “User Type” set to “Service account”. Establish a username and password, of which, both need to be void of any special characters. The only characters used should be upper- or lower-case letters and numbers.
- Grant the "Import" permission under "Permissions" and hit Save.
Once the Service Account is created, you may enter the Service Account Username and Password into "Connections" in your integration account as part of the Slate Account connection setup.
